What Immortal Kinematics does

You upload a video of yourself dancing. We do three things with it:

  • run it through pose estimation to extract a skeleton · the positions of your joints, frame by frame;
  • compute movement metrics from that skeleton (energy, reach, symmetry, and similar) to find the strongest moments;
  • render short 9:16 clips around those moments, which you can watch, rate, re-trim and download.

If you are 18 or over and did not pay for a take, its skeleton also trains our own dance-motion model. You can turn that off on your account page; the privacy notice says how it works.

Optionally, if you link your TikTok account, you can send a clip straight to your own TikTok drafts; you finish the post in the TikTok app yourself. If you link an Instagram professional account, you can publish a clip or a reel to your own Instagram as a Reel; it goes live the moment you confirm that one post, and nothing is sent without that tap. We never post anywhere for you on our own.

Your account

You sign in with Google, TikTok or Instagram. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One human, one account; don't share your login.

You must be 13 or older to use Immortal Kinematics. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with a parent or guardian's permission.

What you upload · rights and music

You keep ownership of your videos and of the clips we render from them. You give us permission to store and process them to run the service for you and, for a take you did not pay for while you are 18 or over, to train our own dance-motion model on its skeleton until you turn that off.

You must have the rights to everything you upload · the footage itself, anyone appearing in it, and any music on the soundtrack.

  • Personal · a clip you make for yourself, or post to a personal account, still has to respect the music rights of whatever is playing in the room. Platforms mute or take down videos that use music you aren't licensed for.
  • Commercial · if the post promotes a business, a brand, a product or a paid service, you need a licensed or official sound on the platform you post to: on TikTok that means the Commercial Music Library, not a track from the general catalogue. Our "send to drafts" flow deliberately leaves the sound choice to you in the TikTok app so you can pick a cleared one. A Reel published to Instagram from the app carries the audio that is in the clip, so that audio must be music you are licensed to use.

We don't clear music rights for you and we can't advise you on them. If you're unsure, use a cleared sound.

If you publish a clip as a challenge, you are choosing to show that clip, its skeleton and the name you gave it on a public page, so the same rights apply to everything seen and heard there. Unpublish takes the page down.

An attempt is public: your clip, its skeleton and its score stay on the board while the challenge does; the recording trains our model; delete your account and your entries go with it. That is the whole of what taking a challenge means, and it is said again on the page, beside the press.

What you may not upload

  • anything illegal, or content you don't have the right to use;
  • sexual content involving minors, or any footage of a person who hasn't agreed to be filmed;
  • harassment, hate, threats, or content designed to impersonate someone;
  • malware, or attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Early access · no uptime promise

This is an early-access product built by a very small team. It is provided as is, with no guarantee of uptime, no guarantee that a job will finish, and no guarantee that a clip will be any good. Features can change or disappear. Processing sometimes fails.

Keep your own copy of anything you care about. We may delete inactive uploads and their derived files to reclaim storage. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost footage, lost clips, or anything downstream of using the service.

TikTok and Instagram

Linking TikTok is entirely optional. When you link it, you authorise us to upload clips you choose to your own TikTok drafts on your behalf, and nothing else. You can unlink at any time from the app, or revoke access from your TikTok account settings. Your use of TikTok is also governed by TikTok's own terms.

Linking Instagram is optional too, and needs a professional (Creator or Business) account. When you link it, you authorise us to publish a clip or reel you confirm to your own Instagram account as a Reel, with the caption you wrote, and nothing else. Instagram has no drafts, so the post is public the moment you tap post it to Instagram; we never publish on a schedule or without that tap. You can unlink at any time from the app, or remove the app under your Instagram account's Apps and websites settings. Your use of Instagram is also governed by Meta's terms.

Ending it

You can stop using the service and delete your uploads at any time; deleting an upload deletes what we derived from it. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.
